VALUE EDUCATION :
We at Cottons believe that character building is as important as academic achievements. Therefore value education classes are conducted for all throughout the year, every alternate Thursdays. These value education classes are very interactive and students really participate with a great deal of enthusiasm and thought. In this age of declining morality,we feel that value education classes will help our students to distinguish between right and wrong and give them the wisdom to choose the right path .
Assemblies are held on alternate Thursdays of the month during the Value Education Hour. Combined assemblies are held for the PUC and the Degree students in commemoration of St. Peter’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Women’s Day, Student Council Elections and in regard to the Annual Inter-collegiate Cultural Fest ‘Disha’.
The final year students are given an opportunity to conduct the assembly class wise. A theme is chosen by the class keeping in mind -special events/days/festivals. The entire program -the bible reading, the prayer, skit, tableau or choreography is chosen in accordance with the theme.
Eminent speakers were invited during assembly to address the students regarding relevant issues and concerns. Announcements are made regarding the forthcoming events by the concerned department or committee. Students are recognized for their achievement in academics, co –curricular and extra-curricular activities during the assembly.
